Vacation

All full time Bibb Medical Center employees receive 17 PTO days their first five years of services and one additional day after their initial period, up to 22 PTO days. Seven of the PTO days are for Holidays. The accrual for the PTO days begins immediately and full time employees are eligible to take the PTO days after 6 months of service.

Sick Time

Bibb Medical Center provides sick leave to full time employees. Full time employees are eligible to take sick leave after 6 months of service. Sick leave begins accruing immediately and caps at 240 hours.

Health/Dental Insurance

All full time employees are eligible for health and dental insurance through BCBS of Alabama. Full time employees are eligible to enroll after their first 30 days of service. Single, Two Person and Family plans are available.

Complimentary Life Insurance

Bibb Medical Center gives all of its full time employees a complimentary $10,000.00 life insurance policy. Employees are eligible for this after 30 days of service.

Worker's Compensation Insurance

Bibb Medical Center provides a comprehensive worker's compensation insurance program at no cost to the employees.

Retirement Plans

Bibb Medical Center offers two types of retirement plans for full time employees in order to give them more financial independence. We offer a 403(B) plan and a Pension Plan. Full time employees may participate in either plan after their six months of service.

Cafeteria Plan

Bibb Medical center offers a cafeteria plan for all of our full time employees. This plan allows Bibb Medical Center, with the employee's consent to, to cut certain benefits out of the employee's check before taxes are applied.

Direct Deposit

All employees are eligible to enroll in direct deposit. Funds are available by 8 a.m. on payday.

Hospital Discounts

Discounts are given to full time employees, spouses and legal dependents.

Cafeteria Discounts

All employees receive cafeteria meals at a discounted price.

Christmas Club

All employees are given the opportunity to open a Christmas Club account though Bibb Medical Center.

Employee Service Awards

All full time Bibb Medical Center employees receive recognition for continuous service after the first 5 years and ever 5 years thereafter.

Bereavement Leave

Full time employees are given up to three days leave with pay upon the death of a family member. An employee is eligible to use this leave after 6 months of service.

Time Off to Vote

Bibb Medical Center will grant up to 1.0 hour of unpaid time off to vote if employees are unable to vote in an election during their non working hours.

Jury Duty

Bibb Medical Center encourages employees to fulfill their civic responsibilities by serving jury duty when required. We will pay an employees for their regular hours they would normally received on the day of absence.
